In “Are you fucking serious?!?” news, a hashtag and an account called “#BoycottStarWarsVII” came to life on Twitter on Sunday night. The reason behind the hashtag? That not all of the main leads in Star Wars: The Force Awakens are White men. Yes, you heard that right. There are people who want to boycott The Force Awakens because not all of the main leads are White dudes.

In response to this blatant racist stupidity, the people of Twitter have commandeered the hashtag “BoycottStarWarsVII.”

Yes, Audra McDonald, those are wise words indeed because only someone drunk (and missing a brain) would think that diverse casting in The Force Awakens equals White genocide and cultural appropriation. And a word of advice for the racists behind #BoycottStarWarsVII? Look up “genocide” and “cultural appropriation.” They definitely do not mean what you think they do. Seriously.
