Satire Finally Provides Answers for Women’s Actions in Disaster Movies

When it comes to disaster movies, the representation of women can be weird. Seriously. Just really, really weird.  And a satire video by Machete Bang Bang and Dara Laine called “Deleted Scenes of Women in Disaster Movies Written by Men” points out this very fact.

Prepare for great lines like:

I actually find it easier wearing heels while fighting an army of vampires as it allows me to be really eye-to-eye with my male opponents.

And:

I can’t believe you don’t know this. In any large scale disaster, your body completely shuts down all of its gross functions.

If only these lines were true. They would truly explain so much when it comes to the representation of women in disaster films. So, so much.
